One thing I love about Pokemon Go is that it encourages people to get outside and walk. What’s more, it has caused communities of people whether based on your team (Go Valor!) or your city/county, to pop up. There are events and meetups where friendships can be born. Or in the case of a battle, you may find yourself around a bunch of strangers for a few minutes and you can choose to interact with them before or after the raid happens.
In an interesting coincidence, on the day I pulled the “Get off the Fucking Phone” Rebel Deck card, I had been thinking (and dreaming about!) a friend that I hadn’t heard from. And while listening to my coaching classes, the lesson was on Coincidence or Synchronicity and how it is important to pay attention to it. There’s whole blog about that coming in the next few days, so stay tuned! So, I am going to get off the phone and reach out to the friend who has been on my mind. The last play date we had was ax throwing. I am up for that again.
I wholeheartedly believe in the power of connection - even as an introvert! So I hope that you are inspired to reach out and set up a play date with someone. Whether it is catching up over a slice of pizza or getting together for a game night, connecting with people is one of the best ways to recharge your batteries, get a new perspective and just feel good about life.
